# Your Google reviews against your 3 closest competitors

> One report on the last 90 days: how your rating, reply rate and complaints compare, what customers praise and complain about, and drafted replies for the reviews you have not answered yet.

Who it is for: Owners and marketing leads of restaurants, clinics and local service businesses who want a monthly answer to how their Google reviews compare with the businesses they compete with.

## What you get

- **Competitors found for you**: Name none and the Actor picks the three closest open places in your Google category with at least 20 reviews, within 2 km, or 6 km when that finds too few. Or name them yourself.
- **One comparison table**: Reviews in the window, average rating, share of 1-2 star reviews, reply rate and unanswered reviews per business, with the all-time rating shown separately.
- **Gaps in plain words**: Your position on each measure against the competitors' median, computed from the numbers, for example reply rate 31% against a median of 74%.
- **Themes with evidence**: What customers praise and complain about per business, with the number of reviews behind each theme and which reviews they are.
- **A reply queue**: Up to ten unanswered reviews, complaints first, each with a draft that refers to something specific in that review. Drafts never promise money, give contact details or admit legal fault.
- **Month-on-month trend**: Pass last month's snapshot to see what moved. Nothing is stored on our side.

## How it works

1. Find your Google place id. It starts with ChIJ.
2. Run `check_places` first: it validates the ids for free, without reading any reviews.
3. Run `review_report`. Leave `competitors` empty to have the three closest found for you, and set `days` between 30 and 90.
4. Next month, pass the report's `snapshot` as `previous_snapshot` to see the trend.

## Use cases

- A monthly review check for a restaurant, clinic or local service business against the places nearby.
- Seeing which complaints come up more for you than for your competitors.
- Working through a backlog of unanswered reviews with drafts you check and post.

## Pricing

- Business analysed: $0.59
- Google review comparison report: $0.59

You pay per event listed above; there is no monthly fee.

## Limits

- Competitors come from a Google Maps search for your own category. One listed under another category or more than 6 km away is not found, so name it yourself.
- Reads the newest 150 reviews per business.
- Your own business needs at least five reviews in the window, otherwise nothing is charged.
- Reviews without text get no draft. Read the drafts before you post them.

## Questions

### What does a report cost?

$0.59 for the report plus $0.59 for each business analysed, yours and each competitor with enough reviews. Thin or unreadable businesses and failed calls are free.

### Do I need to know who my competitors are?

No. Leave the competitors empty and the Actor finds the three closest open places in your Google category. Name them only if you want to choose.

### Are reviewers named in the report?

No. Reviewers are never named or returned, and excerpts are short and stripped of links and contact details.

### Can I run it from an AI assistant?

Yes. Through Apify's MCP server your assistant finds and runs the Actor with the same fields. Ask it to compare your reviews with your three closest competitors and draft replies.

### Does it post the replies for me?

No. It drafts them; you read them and post them yourself.
